Update

School is officially out for summer break. Yesterday was Brett's last day of school. I am so proud of him. He made A honor roll all 4 quarters! He had two baseball games last night. His team won both. He pitched the first game and played short stop the second game. The second game they played against his cousin's (Landon) team. Landon pitched during that game and did a great job! After the game Landon came over to spend the night.

Addison is doing great! She is growing like a weed and should be considering that this week she has been eating every 1-1 1/2 hours. I think she is going through another growth spurt. She has a Dr. appt next Tuesday. I am anxious to see how much she weighs.

Shortly after returning from Atlanta for Daphne's funeral my cousin Tracey passed away. This too was unexpected. Please continue to pray for my family.

Mother's Day

Addison's baby dedication was yesterday. It went great! After church we had a Mother's Day lumch at our house for my mother and step-mother. We had family portraits made to give to family for gifts. We will mail them out as soon as we get a chance. I have posted them on the blog so you can see them now. Yesterday we also received some devestating news. My cousin Daphne passed away. It was very unexpected. Please keep our family in your prayers. We will be traveling to Atlanta this week for the funeral. She left behind three children, a sister, and her parents.

Isn't this cute

Busy Week

Last week was very busy. Brett had two baseball games and a program at school. He made the 75 and 100 point club for Accelerated Reader. Brad Michael's birthday was on Sun. so family came over on Sat. to celebrate. Brett also had a friend spend the night. During the party the kids played on the slip and slide. On Sun. we drove to Mobile to take Brett to a Bay Bears (minor league baseball team) game. Due to the weather we ended up at the movie theater instead. Addison had a Dr. appt last Friday. She now weighs 7 lb 4 oz. She had to go the hospital after her appt. for an x-ray b/c she has been spitting up so much. Everything turned out to be fine. Her Dr. thinks she may have reflux. This week Brett has two more baseball games but that's about it. He got his progress report for 4th quarter and has straight A's. If he keeps it up he will have made A honor roll the entire year! I've included a picture of Brett and Lauren from the party and two of Addison. The purple outfit is her @ 4 weeks and the white is picture of her @ 5 weeks.

Spring Break

Brett's spring break is this week. He has been spending the night with family and friends since I'm not really supposed to take Addison out in public until she is six weeks old. She is getting a personality. She wants to be held all the time. It's hard not to pick her up when she cries. I've added a two and three week picture of her. Two week picture is on top and three weeks is on bottom.

Weekly Update

Last Saturday was opening day at the ball park. Joe, Mom, Dad, and Sheryl went to the ball game to watch Brett play while I stayed home with Addison. I also missed Monday night's game. Joe went back to work this week so Mom took Brett and spent the night with us. Joe came home early last night so I could go watch Brett. He did great! He pitched the first two innings then played short stop and catcher. I have posted a video clip of him pitching during the first inning. Addison is gaining her birth weight back as you can see from the picture that I have posted. This picture was taken on Monday (one week old). If you compare it to the other picture posted of her (3 days old) you can see how much she has already changed. Lucy (our cat) is jealous of Addison. Lucy wants attention from whoever is holding the baby. I have added a picture of Joe with Addison and Lucy. Isn't it cute?

Addison Claire Walsh

Addison was born on Monday the 24th which was the day after Easter. Her arrival date couldn't have been more special. It was the day after Easter last year that we learned of our miscarriage after our second round of IVF. We were released from the hospital yesterday on the 26th. This date was our third wedding anniversary. God is so good! I've posted some pictures (above) and a video clip (below) of our little miracle. We can't wait for everyone to meet her. Brett is already such a great big brother. He washes his hands as soon as he gets home from school so he can hold his baby sister. She is already such a blessing in our lives. Everything that we have been through to get to this point has already proved it was worth it!
